Stanley has a broad scientific background (see Academic site) from which he can draw in his fiction writing. Hobbies such as fly-fishing play a part in some of the short stories, of which 42 have been published, but his main focus is on writing science-based thrillers – stories that are credible as well as exciting.

Stanley lives in Cheshire with his wife Paula, who is a physician (retired) and artist. They have three children and eight grandchildren. He is an accomplished modern jazz pianist, a competent photographer, and a moderate but keen fly fisherman. He continues to play an active role in the real world of research (see Academic site). |
